Terminator 2: Judgment Day

Acquired July 2005.

This game was acquired in a trade for my Centipede upright and my Ms. Pac mini. I was looking to balance out the two Lawlor pins I have with a fast and loose playing game.  With the limited space I have in my small basement arcade, I decided to pick up a T2.

Overall, this game was in average condition when I picked it up. After a full shop out and some general illumination repairs, this game came out fantastic. It had some wear on the autofire "hot-dog" and the skill shot target inserts, but it was all very easily touched up. Game plays super fast and is a lot of fun.

Only negatives are a small amount of side art wrinkling on the rear left leg area and some damage to the backbox on the same side. Eventually, I'll repair both but they are not bothering me, since none of it is seen when lined up to my other pins.

  • Complete flipper rebuild with new 15411 coils and NOS flipper bats. (The original 11629 coils were too brutal, IMHO)
  • Rebuilt GI header and connector pins.
  • Completely shopped out (new rubber, lamps, polished, several layers of wax)
  • New display.
  • Rebuilt jet bumpers, new springs and caps.
  • Installed ramp protectors. (used modified Attack From Mars protectors)
  • Replaced missing wireform behind skill shot targets.
  • New targets for escape route advance bank.
  • New locks.
