Tempest Cabaret

Restoration

Check the insides of this thing out. Wiring mess, rotted wood, rusted coin door assembly. Had a WG 7901 monitor w/no burn and remote control.
Stripped cab cleaned up, doesn't look to horrible. Right side of cabinet with laminate removed. Note the water damage on the bottom and running up both sides.

If you see this, don't even bother with bondo, trust me. Make new sides or run.

Bondo attempt. Came out pretty well, but coverage over such a large area makes it really hard to keep level. Broke away most of the rotted wood and saturated the areas to receive bondo with Minwax wood hardener.
Back panels of the game were swelled up and replaced with new white melamine, with the intention of painting black.
New wood grain vinyl applied. Although the bottom came out real nice, it wasn't perfectly level.
What it looks like so far...
Figured now it would be a great time to change out the old rusted leg levelers.

When I pryed out the T-Nuts on the bottom, I took a good chunk of rotten wood with it. Now the base needs to be replaced.

Took off the base, and a large chunk of the unfinished side with it.

Decided to rebuild the cab. Should have done this from the beginning...
